It's Valentine's Day... here's some LOVE from Mr. X!
It's Valentine's Day 2005, and I'd just like to take a bit of time to throw a little lover everyone's way and say how much I appreciate everyone as a subscriber. Now many of you know I like to give "tough love," and I tell it like it is, but it's because I have your best interests at heart.
There's a real important business lesson here too. To be successful in the long term, you need to deliver what works to your customers, and sometimes that conflicts with what they want to work, or what should work.
At times this will piss some of your customers off, but it will separate the talkers from the doers because the doers will recognize an opportunity when they see it, and understand they have to make it work. The talkers will whine because "it" hasn't made them rich yet, but the doers are the ones who will support your business, as long as you continue to deliver them what really works.
Sure there are a few con artists out there who make a few bucks ripping people off with outright lies, but the marketplace tends to be self correcting, and those people are soon out of business--faster than ever with the speed at which news spreads on the internet.
Anyways, have a great Valentine's Day, and don't eat too much chocolate candy!
Let's get to it...
