The Millionaire Mindset
One of the most misunderstood subjects in this country is what really makes people rich. Colleges don't know it, Hollywood actors don't know it, the government sure as heck doesn't know it, and most ordinary people don't know it either.
People think that you have to have money to make money, or that to become rich you have to marry it, steal it, or be born into it.
All of these are just plain wrong--in fact, the people who usually wind up broke at the end of their lives are people who were born into money, because they have no clue how to make it or keep it.
The best skill you can ever master is how to make money without money--if you have that skill, no matter what happens to you, you can always easily replace money you may have lost.
Unfortunately most people are NOT willing to pay the price to master that skill--they say they are, but they're really not. Let me share with you an email I recently received:

If your pocket is tight the rich man is gonna say you ain't good enough. well i have something money can't buy, it's more valuable than a million dollars! Mr. X: Lee, just by your email I can tell what books you haven't read, what seminars you haven't been to, and what your attitude is towards money. The term "less fortunate" is a terrible term to use because it implies that wealth "just happens" to some lucky people, and that everyone else is less fortunate. In other words, it means that wealth building is a process completely out of your control.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Are there "less fortunate people" in this world--sure... but much, much fewer than you might think, and you'd be surprised at how many people with so-called disabilities have adopted the millionaire mindset and made themselves wealthy IN SPITE of their handicap.
See, most self made millionaires have come from extremely adverse conditions, loaded with debt, and making LESS than so called "less fortunate people." But because they viewed themselves as millionaires and took FULL responsibility for ALL their outcomes, they quickly changed their external world to match their internal world. People who call themselves "less fortunate" take NO responsibility for their outcomes, and their external world never changes.
Look, I've been $30,000.00 in credit card debt, living in the office space of a warehouse with no shower and no hot water. My friend Chet R. grew up in a shack in Florida without running water and zero educational opportunities, yet now owns the most successful pest control business in Tampa, and is a very successful real estate investor. My friend Matt. F., spent many nights sleeping on the hard wood floor of a gym, agonizing over his financial difficulties, yet is now a world famous fitness expert, making more money in a month than most people make in 15 years.
