Why it's never too late to have a happy childhood
I just got back into town from my trip to Orlando and then to Tampa, and I can assure you of this one thing: no matter how old or how rich you are, it's never too late to have a happy childhood.
There's a big myth going around that successful people are "professional," and "sophisticated." In my experience, the opposite is true--the more successful a person is in self image and the material success that follows, the more they act like kids.
AND.... this truism applies equally to men and women.
While I was in Florida I hung out with a lot of successful people, some I've known a long time, and some I met for the first time.
The private conversations were right out of grade school--stories, gossips, the occasional "expletive" (and I use the word "occasional" with a grain of salt), and lots of laughter. What is equally important is what was missing from the conversation--there was no bragging about how much money each was making, or how successful we were. Rather, everyone was curious about everyone else's businesses and happy to share information. It was a great experience.
Now, were there people I met who were NOT like this? Oh yeah, tons of them. They didn't want to share, they were stuck up, easily offended and just not fun to be around. They were also broke.
Here's the lesson here: success did NOT create the fun, happiness, and sharing... rather, those traits created the success. Why?
Because those are all external manifestations of a strong internal
world. Since everyone was comfortable with themselves, they were
comfortable with each other. The ones who were uncomfortable with themselves (and unsuccessful) quickly slunk away, or were cut out from, any conversations they happened to wander into. They just had a toxic energy--they were unattractive. The successful people, men and women, were all attractive. That attraction came not from their outward success, but because of the attractive energy that comes from a strong self image.
So, if you want to be attractive, if you want to be successful, you need to start by having more fun, becoming comfortable with yourself while being comfortable with others. Forget about your perceived fears, failures and frustrations, and just start by "unleashing the kid inside." Wealth attraction and success will follow, in short order.
