Are you a legend in your own mind? You should be...

When you go to kindergarten and then on to grade school you are taught how important it is to be humble, and to never brag.

This may be good advice for those who want to "get a good job" but it is terrible advice for those who want to be a business owner.

It was Winston Churchill who said "If you don't blow your own horn, someone else will come along and fill it with Bulls--t." How true these words are--if you don't strongly define yourself, others will define you.

People respond strongly to a personality who takes strong positions and is sure of themselves almost to the point of arrogance. They respond not at all to weak, wimpy nice guys.

When building your business it is paramount you inject a strong personality into your marketing, essential you create your own legend. Now, that does NOT mean you tell your customers things that are false about you. What you do is amplify the things you do know, and anoint yourself an expert in those areas.

To be an expert, all you have to do is know more than your customers about your subject, and that takes a few hours at the library to achieve. Plus, as you go along in your business, you will very quickly develop expertise few others have, and it is essential for your wealth that you tell your customers about this expertise the strongest way possible.

To do otherwise risks failure and guarantees obscurity with your customers.
